Here is her story…
I grew up in a loving family as an only child with my mum and dad. My mum had me at the age of 16 and we have always been close. At the age of 15 my mum became a Christian and my dad who was a soldier soon followed in her footsteps. I hated my parents for it, and I hated God as well. They had changed and I wanted everything to stay like it was. It wasn’t a great time for me. I had a boyfriend who was 13 years older than me. I went to the best school in my town but hardly anyone liked me. I was bullied because of my size and my teachers even advised my parents to take my to a psychologist because they thought I had anorexia. It was awful, I would be ignored and laughed at in the playground and making friends seemed impossible.
I was crying with my mum one day and she offered to pray for me. I figured nothing else had worked so I let her. The next day it was as though I was someone else. Everyone treated me differently. I was able to play with the other girls and no one teased me. It was the best day I had had in such a long time. I knew it was because of God. I finally realized that he cared about me. I didn’t want to give up the lifestyle I had been living but I decided to go to church when a friend invited me because they were recording a children’s songs album and they knew I had a good voice. I ended up going along to a big concert in Budapest. I heard God ask me if I wanted Him in my life. I looked around at all the people there and said yes.
There was one area of my life I knew I had to surrender to Him and that was my relationship with my boyfriend. He ended up dumping me, which really hurt at the time. I cried in my room and said to God that I wanted to die. God really comforted me and made me feel loved. I started to realize that I could pray to Him and he would answer. He became my confidant and He taught me how to dream and showed me that he was bigger than any situation and that if I trusted Him I didn’t need to fear any man. God is faithful to His promises. I can trust and believe in Him, I now live an amazing life living with Him.
