STEVE PENNY
S4 Leadership International Director
Steve Penny is the Senior Pastor of Kings Christian Church, a multi congregational church on the Sunshine Coast in Australia. He is also the international director of S4 and a part of the oversight of the Australian AOG lead by Pastor Brian Houston.
Steve and Marion Penny are the Senior Ministers of Kings Christian Church on Queensland's Sunshine Coast. Since taking the leadership of Kings in 1999, the church has grown from a couple of hundred people to over fifteen hundred people each weekend. Steve is renowned for his prophetic, innovative leadership which has seen him most recently pioneer the use of live, interactive video-conferencing between Kings Congregations. Steve is a member of the National Executive of the Assemblies of God in Australia.
Steve Penny founded and oversees the S4 Leadership Network of churches and leaders across the world. He also runs an annual Church Planting School as part of his passion for releasing healthy, strong leaders into new churches.
Steve has also authored a number of books, as well as producing many resources on leadership, ministry, generosity and faith. His latest book, "Where's the Miracle?" allows readers to join the Penny family's fight of faith through their son Andrew's illness and death from cancer at the age of 27. Released in October 2005, this book has already inspired and encouraged thousands of people in many nations.
Steve and Marion are the Directors of House of Mercy, a charity which channels finances into child welfare projects around the globe.
Steve and Marion have two children, Luke and Sheree, who are both serving God with them in Kings.

DAVE GILPIN
S4 UK Director
Dave is Senior Pastor of Hope City Church, a multi-congregational church with UK congregations in Sheffield, Leeds, Newcastle and Liverpool. Dave also leads S4 in the UK which draws people from across Europe for the S4 Summit held in Sheffield each year.
Dave was born in 1960 in Clatter Bridge Hospital, Bebington. At the age of five, the family moved to Brisbane, then to Melbourne, ending up in Canberra, Australia. Dave left home to complete a Civil Engineering degree at Sydney University. It was in his third year at university that he became a Christian, through a large evangelistic push called, ‘Know Christ, Know Life; No Christ, No Life’. He realised that the emptiness within him was in the shape of God and could only be filled by Him alone.
After two years working for a concrete company as a Plant Manager, Dave attended Renewal Ministry Training College in Brisbane in order to strengthen his walk with God and explore God’s plan for his life. After college, Dave became the Youth Pastor at Southside Christian Renewal Centre and was sent out to fulfil his vision for the UK.
After being incredibly moved by the Hillsborough Football Stadium disaster, where so many lost their lives, Dave and his wife Jenny headed for the North of England and placed an advert in a Sheffield newspaper, ‘Aussie Church Starting’. From humble beginnings, the church has grown in influence and stature and now has congregations in Manchester, Liverpool and Leeds as well as at the centre of operations at the Megacentre in Sheffield.
Dave has written a number of books with titles such as ‘SQ: Boost Your Spiritual IQ’, ‘The Top 10 of Everything about Christian Leadership’ and his latest book ‘Jesus Save me from Your Followers’. He also oversees the Megacentre which is a conferencing and community centre, as well as the operations centre for the church. Dave and Jenny have one son called Ryan who was born in the same year that Hope City Church began. He has recently discovered the joy of painting, but too embarrassed to put his own name on the canvas, Dave paints under the name of Dagarté – can you believe it?!
